This past 12 months we've seen a whirlwind of new book releases. It seemed like every podcast I listened to there was an entrepreneur selling his latest book.

And being the reader I am, I read them all (well most of them).

And I found the 5 books that really made an impact on the way I look at business.

#1 - Will it Fly by Pat Flynn

Pat Flynn's Smart Passive Income has been one of my favorite podcasts for a long time now. In fact, it was his content that got me into podcasts in the first place. This book is all about business validation -- something that I've personally struggled with in the past.

#2 - #AskGaryVee by Gary Vaynerchuk

Gary Vee is one of the guys who tells you like it is. You might hate him, you might love him, but you can't deny that he's made a killing at business. I LOVED this book because he gave a very real perspective on modern entrepreneurship. I especially liked all the knowledge he drops about social media. This book is a must-read.

#3 - The School of Greatness by Lewis Howes

Lewis' podcast interviews some of the most amazing people -- entrepreneurs, athletes, celebrities, and more. Through his hundreds of interviews, he's seen patterns that help certain people get to the top. This book is all about dissecting the traits of remarkable people, while also sharing his personal story (which is pretty remarkable as well).

#4 - #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso

I'm a huge fan of Sophia Amoruso, the founder of Nasty Gal. From being a homeless woman (who was also a thief when she was younger!) to a multi-millionaire, her story is spectacular. This book isn't just for women (despite the girly title), it's an amazing story that should inspire anyone who feels down about where their life has turned.
