Get To Know ICAEW Challenge 2021


Contest terms and conditions

1. “Get To Know ICAEW Challenge 2021” ["Contest"] is organized by ICAEW South East Asia Limited (“Organizer”).  

2. This Contest participation is eligible for Permanent Residents & Citizens of Singapore & Malaysia Only.

3. This Contest is open to all save and except for: -
i) Employees of the Organizer [including associated and related companies] and their immediate family members [children, parents, siblings, including spouses].

ii) Employees of the Organizer’s service providers [including its affiliated and related companies] and their immediate family members [children, parents, siblings, including spouses].

 

Contest Duration 

4. This Contest will take place from 06 September 2021 at 00:00:00 to 28 October 2021 at 23:59:59 ["Contest Period"]. The Organizer reserves the right to amend/suspend/postpone the Contest Period at any time without prior notice or liability to the participants. All entries received outside the Contest Period will be automatically disqualified. 

 

Contest Entries & Mechanisms 

5. Individuals who wish to join the contest will have to sign up at our website. The link for our website is as follows: https://contest.icaew.ca-sea.asia/gettoknow 

6. Upon signing up, individuals (now known as participants) will have to complete the list of tasks listed on our website such as liking, commenting and sharing our Facebook and Instagram postings. 

7. Each task will be assigned a specific point which the participants will have to accumulate. As the tasks are being checked manually by the participants themselves, the Organizer will verify and confirm the completion of the tasks and the Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant should the Organizer find that all/any of the task(s) has/have not been completed. 

8. Winners will be selected based on the highest point accumulated. 

9. In the event that there are multiple winners with the same highest points, the winner will be selected arbitrarily based on the discretion of the Organizer and the Organizer’s decision shall be final and binding on all other participants. No dispute on the decision shall be entertained.  

For example: if there are 5 winners with 1,000 points, the organizer will arbitrarily select ONE of the participants with 1,000 points to win the Grand Prize, after which the other participant with similar 1,000 points will be selected for the second place, third place, and so forth. 

 

Prizes

10. Contest prizes are listed as below: 

(a) Grand Prize (Announcement After Contest on 15 November 2021): Laptop Worth SGD 1,000 

(b) 2nd – 3rd Prize (Announcement After Contest n 15 November 2021): Jabra Elite Active 65T Worth SGD 299 

(c) Weekly Prizes (Announced Weekly Every Thursday): Anello Backpack worth SGD 99

  • 2 x Winners on 16, 23, 30 September 2021 
  • 2 x Winners on 7, 14, 21, 28 October 2021 

11. The Organizer reserves the right to substitute any of the prizes with that of similar value at any time at their absolute discretion without prior notice or liability to the winners. All prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and non-exchangeable for cash.  

The delivery of the prizes will take between 10 and 14 working days upon the announcement and the confirmation of the delivery details with the winner. 

 

Liability & Responsibility 

12. The participant agrees and allows the organiser to use the data provided for communication related to the Contest, for winner announcement on organiser’s social media page, winner verification purposes according to the Contest T&C. 

13. Unless stipulated otherwise, all postal charges, transportation cost, internet charges, personal costs and/or any other costs, fees and/or any kind of expenses incurred by the participants/winners in connection with this Contest (whether for the purpose of joining, participating in or receiving any benefit or prizes from the Contest) or for the purpose of prize redemption or related travelling are to be borne by the participants/winners and the Organizer, its affiliates, authorized agents or participating agencies accept no responsibility whatsoever for these costs/charges/fees/expenses. 

14. The Organizer, its affiliates, authorized third parties and participating agencies accept no responsibility for entries lost, damaged, delayed in the post, or due to computer, IT or any technological error. The participants are solely responsible for ensuring that his or her entry complies with all the rules and terms and conditions of the Contest, and that his or her entry reaches the Organizer in the form required and acceptable by the Organizer. 

15. By participating in this Contest, the participant gives voluntary consent to the Organizer to collect, record, store / hold and process the participant’s personal data solely for the purposes of this Contest. The participant agrees that the Organizer reserves the rights to share the participant’s personal data with the Organizer’s related companies. The participant understands that the participant may update, correct, change or withdraw the participant’s consent for the processing of the participant’s personal data contained herein by contacting the Organizer. The participants also consent to the Organizer and its agencies to use the participants’ names and / or photographs for publicity, advertising and / or marketing purposes without any notice or liability to the Organizer and/or its agencies. 

16. By participating in this Contest, the participants agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless the Organizer, its affiliates, related companies, agencies, and their employees, officers, directors and representatives from any claims, losses or damages arising out of or in connection with their participation in this Contest (including but not limited to, any error in computer transaction, any breakdown or malfunction in any computer system or equipment), any Contest-related activities and the acceptance and/or use, misuse, or possession of any prize awarded hereunder. 

17. The Organizer, its related companies, its agents, sponsors, representatives, affiliates and their respective directors, officers and employees, agents and assigns shall not be liable and/or responsible to any participant in respect of: 

i) any failure to win a prize in the Contest, defective prizes due to his/her negligence, act and/or omission or misuse of prizes or any other loss, damages, costs, expenses, claims, liabilities, injury, death, accidents suffered by the participant during the Contest or arising out of or in connection with the Contest, the participation by the Participant in the Contest and/or the Prizes awarded. 

ii) any delay and/or failure in receiving and sending the contest entry as a result of any network, communication, ISP or system error, interruption and/or failure experienced by the Organizer or the participant’s telecommunication service provider and/or resulting from participation or the downloading of any materials in the Contest. 

iii) any error (including error in notification of winners), omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction, alteration of, or unauthorized access to entries, or entries lost or delayed whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server functions, virus, bugs or other causes. 

18. The Organizer shall not be liable to perform any of their obligations in respect of the Contest and these terms and conditions as a result of circumstances beyond the Organizer’s control and shall not be liable to compensate the participants in any manner whatsoever in such circumstances. 

19. If the Organizer holds a prize-giving ceremony, the winner aged 18 and under must attend and be accompanied by the parent / guardian. 

 

Winners Notification 

20. The shortlisted contest winners will be notified via email or via Phone call, and the winners will be listed on the ICAEW SEA Facebook page. It is the winner’s responsibility to respond to ICAEW’s communication as stipulated above thereafter the prize will be forfeited if unclaimed within 7 working days from the result announcement. 

21. The Organizer reserves the sole and absolute right to disqualify the winner in the event the winner fails to comply with the prize terms and conditions or the collection procedure as determined by the Organizer. 

22. The names list of the winners will be announced on the ICAEW SEA Facebook page by the Organizer.  

23. The Organizer reserves the right to appoint a third-party service provider(s) to handle the process of verifying the winners and for the purpose of delivery of prizes / merchandise. 

 

Compliance to the Contest Terms & Conditions 

24. By participating in the Contest, the participants are deemed to have read and agreed to be bound by all the terms and conditions contained herein.  

 

Changes to Terms & Condition 

25. The Organizer reserves the right to change, amend, delete or add to these terms and conditions without prior notice or liability to the contest participants.
